How I show up as a neuroinclusion ally

  • I ask questions. I check my understanding. I encourage others to do the same.
  • I seek partnerships with lived experiences because we are stronger together.
  • I believe all lived experience is important and no two people are the same.
  • I speak out about inequity and the opportunity to do better, in the workplace and in the marketplace.
  • I’m not an expert, I’m an advocate. Sometimes my advocacy is gently. Sometimes it’s not.
  • I collect data – qualitative and quantitative. The numbers matter. I hope this will prompt change.
  • I advocate for better, not perfect. I’m learning. I don’t get it right all the time. But I will keep trying.
  • I keep an open mind and a compassionate heart.
  •  I’m committed to the marathon, not the sprint. Sustainable change takes persistence and patience.
